Profile Information
Steve’s passion for cycling began with a bike tour he took with a friend, from suburban Boston to Nova Scotia in 1974. That fall he moved to Gunnison, Colorado, already a serious cycling town, and he eventually fell in with some riders who were glad to have somebody new to drop. Up valley in Crested Butte telemark skiing was being reinvented and klunkers soon appeared and he jumped on both. Today Steve and his wife Kate, and their dog Jewel, live in New Mexico where he loves to ride single track in the Sandia Foothills.
