Chaparral Ridge is a spectacularly scenic ridge looking down the South Fork of the American River Valley. The area is popular among mountain bikers but most of the riding options are out-and-back trails.
Folsom Auburn Trail Riders Action Coalition (FATRAC) is raising funds for professionals to design and build the Chaparral Ridge Trail. Adding this trail would provide more challenging ride experiences, and significantly greater connectivity and loop options in this popular zone of El Dorado County. Leveraging volunteer “Dig Days” will have significant community impact by providing instruction, engagement and appreciation for local trail organizations and trail systems.

FATRAC foresees the Chaparral Ridge Trail as a highlight of the area that allows any visitor the opportunity to experience nature and soak in scenic vistas.
